Paul is a descendant of the Barngarla people of the Whyalla – Port Augusta regions of South Australia and brings a wealth of experience to Ganbara, having worked extensively in the training and employment sectors of SA.
Paul spent over 10-years as the CEO of the 100% Indigenous -owned Registered Training Organisation Carey Training before finishing up in June 2021.
Before joining Carey Training, Paul was the manager of South Australia’s largest private Registered Training Organisation (ATEC) and prior to that was Business SA’s Australian Apprenticeships Centre manager.
His experience with these organisations and more particularly as CEO of Carey Training, coupled with working tirelessly for over two decades, has driven his vision of generating training and employment opportunities for both Indigenous and mainstream job seekers all over Australia.
Paul is strongly committed to business growth through the professional and ethical delivery of high levels of customer service, building trusting and mutually beneficial relationships with clients and creating a harmonious workplace where all staff are respected and valued.
This is especially important at Ganbara where we are also committed to working with Indigenous communities.
Importantly, our values are reflected in identifying and supporting the Indigenous supply and procurement chain, with Paul actively assisting Indigenous businesses to improve their capacity and access procurement opportunities. This creates strong Indigenous businesses and subsequent employment opportunities.
Every individual and every organisation can make a difference. We’ve only just started on our path towards Reconciliation; discover how we intend to contribute.
